Engineered Smoke Control System

Smoke produced by fire rises as it is more buoyant than surrounding air due to the heat produced by the fire source. By using prescribed codes of practices, and by utilizing smoke barriers and/or curtains, smoke control zones and reservoirs can be formulated. Optimizing the engineered smoke control system design is a form of art that requires an experience engineer to optimize it. An optimized design will not only reduce the cost of installation and even reduce the costs associated with the maintenance of the building.
